Programs and Services
Services at the Epilepsy Foundation of Metropolitan New York include those most requested by persons with epilepsy to participate as fully as possible in their communities.
These include as many or as few as desired from the following: counseling; vocational service & job placement; prevocational and respite services; and information and referral services. The EFMNY also offers community educational/awareness presentations and other events throughout the year (see Epilepsy 101).
All information and training and presentations are free of charge. Other programs are also free of charge or require low cost fees. Fees are based on a sliding scale. Medicaid, Medicare, and some third party insurances are accepted.
The EFMNY also sponsors support groups, community educational presentations and other events throughout the year. We are always seeking persons with a commitment to epilepsy as volunteers.
Whether you or someone you know is living with epilepsy, the EFMNY is available to ease your worries and concerns by offering you customized expert care and attention. Having a seizure condition doesn’t mean that you have to live a less fulfilled life. You don’t have to feel confused, overwhelmed or restricted. Call the EFMNY and allow us to help you sort through the myriad of choices and start building upon new opportunities. To keep current with our evolving programs and services, please be sure that you are on our mailing list.
