At EFMNY, we have been the heart of the NY metro area’s epilepsy community for more than 45 years. As educators, we’ve worked side by side with teachers, corporate leaders, first responders, families and more to raise AWARENESS about seizure disorders. To that end, we provide tailored EDUCATION programs for people in and beyond the epilepsy community. We commit ourselves to these efforts in partnership with leading epilepsy experts because we know that AWARENESS and EDUCATION will lead to EMPOWERMENT, not just for those of us who are directly affected by seizure disorders, but our greater NY metro area communtiy. Together we will go the distance.

Educational Materials

We are your local affiliate of the The Epilepsy Foundation of America, the country’s largest and most influential voice for individuals and families affected by epilepsy in the United States. In that capacity, we are privileded to take part in the development and dissemination of educational materials which are carefully designed to reach out to our diverse community.

Community Based Educational Presentations

The Foundation offers Epilepsy 101 and Seizure First Aid presentations which are tailored to meet the informational needs of a diverse range of audiences including but not limited to:

• K-12 School and University Students / Staff
• First Responders
• School Nurses
• Corporations

Whatever your educational needs, we will send one of our trained epilepsy educators to your company or organization free of charge.

We are excited to have recently launched a new epilepsy education blog featuring the areas leading epilepsy experts.
